Quarry Hill Farm About Us

Healthy Living begins at Quarry Hill Farm 620 Quarry Road in Harleysville, PA. where you can buy fresh from a local family farm. Quarry Hill Farm is your source for grass-fed small protein. Heritage breeds, locally raised as nature intended, in sun drenched fields, all grass-fed & chemical free.

We produce the highest quality and nutritional value available. We offer eggs, chicken, lamb, guinea hens, turkey, rabbit, fish and suckling pork.

Come to our "Farm to Fork Events" Stop in for cooking tips & recipes. We feature local artisan & craft displays in our barn.

Quarry Hill Farm, was purchased by Sloane Six and Scott Clemens in October 2007 as part of the Pennsylvania Farmland Preservation program. The two decided to convert the farm from conventional to sustainable, following organic practices.

Sloane, a breast cancer survivor, believes there is a direct link between the food we consume and health problems. For this reason, she is committed to providing the local community with organic options.

"After three years of eating organic, I feel better, have more energy and maintain a healthy weight. I can't go back," she said. "I won't eat eggs at a restaurant or meat not grass-fed. The taste and how it makes you feel is very different."

"Our animals are given the best of care, lots of love, sunshine and exercise every day," Sloane said. "They are living chemical-free as nature intended, and the result is happy, healthy animals that are nutritionally superior and taste better."

Quarry Hill Farm hopes to provide homegrown and raised protein, fruit, vegetables and herbs to local families and chefs. These items, in addition to freshly baked artisan bread, cheese, nuts and honey, will be sold at the farm's market, staffed by the farm manager, Sloane, Scott and the couple's 8-year-old son, Skylar. It is located on the top floor of the barn adjacent to the family's house.

Sloane and Scott are in the process of expanding the market's offerings by identifying other local artisan producers who follow the same principles of organic, sustainable agriculture in raising and producing their products.

"We are only selling the highest quality local products," Sloane stressed. "Our goal is to be the farm for local foodies."

Customers can call in orders and purchase products at the barn market. Waiting times depend on growing cycles. Online order will soon be possible. The market is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon or by appointment.

Sloane suggests checking out Quarry Hill Farm to become part of "a community of people who enjoy farm fresh goodness."

New Barn Market Hours: Saturdays 8am to 2 pm ; Wednesday Evenings 4pm to7pm
